Rituals and Ingredients
At the end of a day, the village gives you a bunch of resources depending on what they could produce. You can put as many ingredients as you want into the cauldron at the center of the ritual grounds. After you are done crafting your spell, the next day you may cast the spell. The resulting spell will be dependent upon the total sum of elements in the pot!
Resource/Ingredient
Each resource is randomized at the start of a game with the following
Ingredient ={ Power,List<elements>}
The power of an ingredient is how strong it is. Each ingredient has a weighted random number of elements, where it aims towards 1, but can have up to three.
Elements
Elements are what an ingredient does. For example, the element Fire_Water. If the power is negative (-6) then it casts Fire. Other Elements are Dark_Light, Insect_Beast ...
So if you mix some ingredients, that break down into the resulting elements: Power12Fire_water, Power-3Insect_Beast. Your probably looking at a hurricane rain of frogs.
Power-8Fire_water,Power-12Dark_Light: Your looking at a dealthy plagued fire tornado
And the combinations go on and on....
Deduction
You don't start with information on what elements are contained in what ingredients. You have to figure it out! By experimenting with your ingredients, and by getting one hint per day by Lester (Although he just tells you the element, for example, Frogs cast ethier Fire or Water). So it is still dangerous to experiment that on your crops less they burn. But with every passing day, Villian(the AI) gets stronger and casts stronger spells at your village and biomes! You must figure our the ingredients in order to cast the appropriate counter spells.
