Catacombs of Despair
Catacombs of despair is a game where the main character, armed with a whip and falling rocks. Fights his way through a randomly generated catacomb maze, and must clear all the rooms of monsters before they are overrun. Monsters all start as mummies, but evolve down a branching life-cycle over time. Most branches produce more dangerous creatures, while one branch produces a creature that summons more mummies. Rooms will eventually become overrun, and when they do, the monsters will begin to spread to adjacent rooms. Brute force will not suffice to clear the catacombs. Using amulets to lock down matching rooms help stop the spread. But not forever This game was built part time over a few weeks during my time at university with 3 other team members |
